The Jim Rome Show

So today I was driving in my car and Jim Rome was on the radio. Normally I would change the station because I cant stand the guys voice and I think he's dick, but today I kind of agreed with him.  Here is a short transcript from the beginning of the show when he speaks on my home town Red Raiders. Its wont be the same as listening to him speak in his monotone voice and pause unexplainably after some words but if you try to imagine it in his voice it just might work.

Jim Rome: "Guys we got a great show for you today, later I will be joined Coach Urban Meyer to talk about OSU's huge win over Michigan State this past weekend, also on the program college basketball insider Jay Bilas will be on the show to give us his college basketball preview and I'm sure blast the NCAA while doing so.....  

Dude loves bashing the NCAA....... But who doesn't love a little NCAA bashing?.... I'll tell you who...The rich AD's and boosters that are filling their pockets off these kids...  

Anyways it going to be a great show but first let me hit on something that has been burning me up all weekend..... Did any of you catch that 66-20 thrashing The Red Raiders put on Napoli this past Thursday Night?......  

 RIDICULOUS.......  

Flag football at Liberty Park is almost becoming unwatchable. I am becoming so stale on this league and I don't know who to blame more Liberty Park commissioners or the Red Raiders.........  

Dear Capoldi..... either get some talent in this league or I'm going to have to stop watching....... Its like The Red Raiders are Alabama... And you took them out of the SEC and put them in the MAC.... C'MON no one wants to watch Alabama vs Akron, Just like no one wants to watch The Red Raiders vs Team Crossfit....... 

I mean is anyone walking around saying I cant wait for that huge game this Thursday between the Raiders and New Era?????......  

Speaking of New Era, the only Era they're starting is the era where you walk around bragging you're undefeated even though you have a tie...... Team is a bunch of clowns....... 

But maybe I'm going too hard on Capoldi and Liberty Park...... I mean... if the best team you can field out there is the Bishop Brothers, and I have to listen to their coach clap uncontrollably for 48 minutes than so be it ......... 

WAIT ..... 

I'm getting word from my producer that the Bishop Brothers coach actually suits up now and plays ....... Wow INCREADABLE .... this is worse than I thought .... 

Maybe I should blame The Red Raiders.... I'm going to start calling them the Evil Empire, I mean anyone that's ever scored a TD against them they go offer a contract to..... Teams are folding left and right because their best players are whoring out for a T-Shirt......

The Red Raiders are more of a circus act than a football team ......... Have you seen their starting Linebacker?........  

Its Ken Kovacik ......... I'm not taking anything away from him but Dude will do anything for a T-shirt. Guy is a future Liberty Park HOF QB and he is running around out here at mike backer.  

 Dude was my sons favorite player and I had to lie and tell him Ken retired so he wouldn't see him like this

Instead of watching the Red Raiders on Thursdays I might sit with the wife and watch re-runs of "Jon and Kate plus 8" and get ready for the spin off reality show "Jon and Stacy plus 3"....

 I cant wait for that show to come out, I just hope they don't air any clips of Jon burning my garbage man a for a Touchdown....

I kid you not my garbage man plays corner for New Era... He's a good guy, I just don't wanna see dude getting burnt for a TD on national TV......

 It might be better to get burnt by Jon on national tv though rather than get burnt by "Megadon".... Dude will taunt him and make him want to join the rec league

 Dude gave himself a nickname...... C'MON... At least give yourself a more fitting nickname like premaDONna.... Gosh I might be the best at giving nicknames.... Guy was cussing out his own father for calling him out of bounds. Don relax its not that serious.  

Or how about when he scores a Touchdown from hiding by the sidelines so the defense cant see him. Like Bobby the 5'8 corner was really going to stop you if you gave him a fair shot.... No instead he makes Bobby look like an idiot for covering no one and the rest of Bobbys shit team make fun of him. Then he adds insult to injury by spiking the ball and acting like he's never scored a TD before....

 As if Bobby's life hasn't been bad enough getting cut from every team he's ever tried out for, you make him relive that every Thursday..... Class

 Speaking of people in Warren pounding down the booze, Have you ever been to a Red Raiders game?...... Its a sad scene. The fan base consists of drunk ex-con's and women in their late 20's and 30's hoping Tre Wells will smile at them or take his shirt off. I think the only reason they signed him was so low self steam woman would spend their Thursday nights watching guys with flag bets run around.....

I cant agree with everything Rome said but I can see where he's coming from.
